Other CSR Initiatives
- With The Citizen’s Foundation (TCF), PARCO has established two purpose built schools at Yousuf Goth, Karachi & Muzaffargarh, where 521 under privileged children are receiving quality education free of cost
- To support TCF’s benevolent cause, i.e. education for everyone, PARCO joined hands with TCF and sponsored its fund raising walk “ILMATHON” whereby PARCORIANS actively participated with dedication.
- PARCO offers 100 percent scholarships for 4 years program of two students at the Sargodhian Spirit Trust School in Sargodha.
- PARCO MCR employees have established a Community Welfare Clinic for adjacent communities, which are run by employees’ contribution.
- Mobile Clinics and Eye Camps are organized on regular basis for rural areas near Mid-Country Refinery.
- Ground water sampling & monitoring of suburbs is done to monitor the quality of drinking water being used by the local community near MCR.
- PARCO Public School at MCR offers quality education not only to employees’ children but also to contractors’ workers children as well.
- Facilities like Auditorium, Bowling Alleys, and Officers Club with gymnasium, squash and tennis courts, swimming pools, shopping centers, sports grounds, hospital are all part of facilities to enhance employee satisfaction.
- Sports’ events like Cricket, Volley Ball and other tournaments, Water Polo Championship, Sports Gala are organized in order to keep the employees active at all times.
- PARCO joined hands with National Highways and Motorway Police (NH&MP) to run campaigns on Road Safety where a booklet by the name of “Safar Asaan” in Urdu language, were distributed on national highways to motorists. In this Road Safety project, PARCO has assisted NH&MP by printing 10,000 safety booklets. The booklets will also be distributed in areas that are proximal to PARCO installations and stations, so that our adjoining communities are aware of PARCO’s initiative in safe driving.
- While CSR is a corporate responsibility, in keeping with the values of the company and our traditions, PARCO also makes philanthropic contributions to institutions that are making significant efforts to help the underprivileged for example, SIUT, Pakistan Red Crescent Society, SOS Children’s Villages, Fatimid Foundation, Cardiovascular Foundation, Pakistan Association of the Blind, Child Aid Association, Friends of Literacy & Mass Education (FLAME), Children Cancer Foundation Trust, etc.
